SPECIAL MEETINGS

A special meeting is a Board meeting other than the annual organization meeting or a regular meeting.

A special meeting of the Board may be called by the Board President, the Superintendent or any Board member upon twenty-four (24) hours notice to all Board members and the Superintendent. The purpose of the meeting must be specified by the person calling the special meeting. The Board shall make every effort to provide advance public notice and agenda for special meetings. The holding of a special meeting is not intended to circumvent the Open Meetings Law, which requires Board meetings to be open to the public. Minutes of special meetings shall be recorded and approved, and then made available to the public and news media at the next regular Board meeting.
