The Board of Education encourages arrangements which will provide students with extra individual help when needed.

However, teachers or other instructional staff shall not be permitted to tutor for pay those students who are assigned to them for regular instruction, nor shall they use any school facility for tutoring for private gain. A teacher may, however, tutor a former student over the summer months provided the teacher is not scheduled to have the student for regular instruction during the next school term.
